Overview
The Jack Bar operates as a licensed hospitality venue selling alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, hot food and snacks for consumption both on and off the premises.
Due to the nature of these products, our refund and returns policy reflects UK hospitality standards and food safety regulations.
Food, Drinks & Perishable Items
All food, drinks and perishable goods are non-returnable and non-refundable once purchased, whether consumed:
- On the premises, or
- Taken off the premises
This includes:
- Alcoholic beverages
- Draught products
- Bottled or canned drinks
- Freshly prepared hot food
- Snacks and bar food
If there is an issue with your order (incorrect item, quality concern, temperature issue, etc.), you must notify a member of staff immediately at the time of service so we can resolve the issue.
Refunds will not be issued once a product has been substantially consumed unless management determines there was a genuine fault.
For off-premises purchases, issues must be reported the same day of purchase.
Membership Fees
All membership fees are strictly non-refundable.
This includes:
- Social Membership
- Annual Membership
- Temporary or Promotional Memberships
- Event-linked Memberships
Membership benefits begin from the date of purchase and are non-transferable.
No full or partial refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
Event Tickets & Deposits
- Event tickets are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by The Jack Bar.
- If we cancel an event, a full refund will be issued via the original payment method.
- Deposits for private functions, catering or bookings are non-refundable unless agreed otherwise in writing.
Merchandise (If Applicable)
Where non-perishable merchandise is sold (e.g. branded clothing or glassware):
- Returns must be requested within 14 days.
- Items must be unused and in original condition.
- Proof of purchase is required.
Sale or clearance items are non-refundable.
Faulty Goods (Consumer Rights)
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
If goods are faulty, not as described, or not of satisfactory quality, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund in accordance with UK law.
Refund Processing
Where a refund is approved:
- It will be issued to the original payment method.
- Processing times depend on your bank or card provider.
Responsible Service
As a licensed premises, The Jack Bar reserves the right to:
- Refuse service in accordance with UK licensing laws
- Remove individuals breaching club or licensing rules
- Decline refunds where products have been served correctly and responsibly
